SOUTH CAROLINA- The South Carolina National Heritage Corridor (SCNHC) grant program recently awarded a total of $650 thousand dollars to various tourism projects across the state. The federal grant funds projects specifically for tourism planning, development, revitalization, and conservation.

New tourism plan for Oconee County approved

OCONEE COUNTY, SC-The new tourism development plan for Oconee County has been completed. Entitled Destination Oconee: Realizing the Future of Oconee County, the plan outlines recommendations for tourism, growth policies, branding, and marketing for the area. Oconee County Council along with the City Councils of Walhalla, Westminster, and Seneca have now officially voted in favor of adopting the plan.

PALMETTO Magazine Launches in 2015
Two local organizations team up to produce the first lifestyle publication dedicated exclusively to capturing the culture of South Carolina.

South Carolina-The word palmetto will soon refer to more than our state tree. A new magazine of the same name is set to launch in April of 2015 and will be dedicated solely to celebrating South Carolina’s people and places.
