State Park on 7500-acre Lake Jocassee known for campground and outdoor activities

Devils Fork State Park provides the only public access to Lake Jocassee, a largely undeveloped 7,500-acre reservoir tucked deep in the Cherokee Foothills. The park is popular with families, fishermen, scuba divers and boaters, who enjoy Jocassee’s uncrowded setting and spectacular scenery including waterfalls that cascade into the lake off of steep, wooded slopes. Full campground amenities and modern villas are also highlights of the park. The hiking and nature trails provide opportunities to spot the rare Oconee bell spring flowers, experience the fall color show, or catch a glimpse of a bald eagle or peregrine falcon patrolling the mountain skies.
