Ruth Drake Museum of Local History, SC Tennis Hall of Fame and North End Exhibition Gallery located inside historic train depot

This 1908 train depot showcases Belton and upstate history, memorabilia from SC’s tennis greats, and an exhibit gallery for rotating historical topics.

The Ruth Drake Museum is stocked with pioneer artifacts, train relics, 19th Century domestic items and agricultural implements. An extensive genealogy collection is also on site.

The SC Tennis Hall of Fame celebrates the achievements of SC's famous tennis stars. There are mementos from all of the Hall of Fame inductees including such outstanding players as Dennis Van der Meer and Stan Smith, both Wimbledon contenders. All of the portraits of the inductees are painted by internationally acclaimed artist Wayland Moore, a Belton native.

The North End Exhibition Gallery promotes traveling collections of interesting artifacts and quarterly exhibits. Featured are historic and personal memorabilia of community members on various topics of interest to visitors.

The museum holds an Antique Show and Sale and Heritage Days at the Depot, both annual events. The Train Depot has space available for meetings and event rentals as well.

Hours of operations are Wednesday-Friday 9am until 2pm and Saturdays 9am until 1pm.
