Local museum focused on history of the area

Since 1983 the Anderson County Museum has grown to be one of the largest museums of local history in South Carolina. The 25,000 square foot space features 13 permanent exhibits, a temporary exhibit gallery, over 20,000 artifacts and a Reading and Research Room. Indoor exhibits range from textiles and agriculture to military and religious history. Outdoors you can observe a functional livery stable, Ms. Frierson's one room school house ca. 1886 and enjoy the Robert Anderson Memorial Fountain.
